Want to learn fro a working pro about what it takes to produce timelapse vision with extra polish?
Do you want to take a sequence of images, such as the samples above, and turn them into timelapse vision that sings?
Join me, Chris Oaten, on the weekend of September 3rd and 4th to take your timelapse skills to the next level.
I'll be joined by Canon Ambassador Steve Huddy, who will support the workshop as a Canon Collective event, in this two-day session that will present an emphasis on capturing the "holy grail" of timelapse scenes, in which the luminance of the scene changes dramatically, as is the case at sunrise or sunset.
In addition to learning how to manually ramp exposures for the holy grail capture, I'll show you how to use LRTimelapse
in conjunction with Lightroom to smooth exposures and deflicker your image sequences. The Saturday sessions will
place a focus on pre-production and instruction on exposure ramping and the Sunday sessions will place an emphasis on
the post-production stage, which is critical to good results when shooting timelapse.
While this task is the principal objective of the workshop, I'll share as much of my expertise on timelapse photography as I possibly can within the scope of a two-day workshop: from equipment choice to general capture methodology to editing your material and more.
Saturday commences at 9am, working through to 4pm, with an optional sunset capture from 5pm.
Sunday commences at 5.30am, with a break for breakfast before reconvening at 9am and working through to 5pm.
The cost for this workshop, which includes lunch and refreshment both days, is $450.
Running the workshop will require at least six participants, with a maximum of 12.
Registering as a participant requires a 50% deposit, payable via EFT. This deposit is non-refundable if cancellation is made
later than August 12, though if made later than this date a refund can be made if another person fills your place.
EFT details will be provided by return email once you register your interest here.
Registrants will be sent an information pack detailing what they need to bring to the workshop.
